Moonlight postcards
Animated family visit
Friday, July 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m.
The Vittoriano was designed by architect Giuseppe Sacconi in honor of the first king of Italy – Victor Emmanuel II, in 1882-1883: working has been going on until the 1930s. Considered the highest symbol of united and independent Italy, the Vittoriano soon became a pivotal place in the nation’s collective imagination. Young and old are invited to discover its history, architecture and art with an animated narrative tailored just for them. Visitors set off on a journey through time, walk along stairways and panoramic terraces, admire the city from above in the evening lights thanks to a breathtaking view, and finally reinvent the places of exploration by making pictured postcards full of suggestions and colors.
